As a family strives to come to terms with the loss of one of its members, it continues to search for answers regarding her death. In the aftermath of the fatal accident that took her life, the family still does not have much information about it or the driver who is believed to have caused it. The answers to their questions will not bring the 23-year-old Louisiana woman back to her family, but they still have every right to know what happened to their daughter.
On May 4, the woman was a passenger in a 2015 Lamborghini that was leased and driven by a 30-year-old man. Somehow, he lost control of the sports car shortly before midnight. The subsequent crash killed the woman and sent the driver to the hospital with broken limbs. He is now out of the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing, but so far, it appears that the Lamborghini was traveling at approximately 100 mph prior to the crash. Authorities are awaiting the results of toxicology tests before concluding the investigation and determining what charges, if any, the man will face. The woman’s brother is the one who contacted the coroner in New Orleans when a description of his sister’s tattoos was released and she failed to contact him.
The family has already hired an attorney to conduct an investigation into the fatal accident and possibly file a wrongful death claim against the driver. According to the woman’s father, any claim they file is not about hate or revenge, but instead about truth and justice. If a Louisiana court rules that the driver caused the death of their loved one, an award of damages could be made, and the man they consider to be responsible for the death of their daughter would be held accountable for his actions that night.
